The consular section of the Belgian Embassy is open to the public for services for which the citizen's presence is absolutely required (application for a passport, application for a provisional passport, proof of life, application for an identity card with fingerprints (eID/Kids-ID), legalisation of signature). For these services, you will be received by appointment only.

For application for passport and identity card (eID/Kids-ID) and life certificate, you can make an appointment online

For life certificate, signature legalisation, provisional passport application, you can make an appointment by email or phone. You cannot register at the counter.   

Anything that can be arranged by email or post is exclusively arranged that way. Therefore, you cannot make an appointment online and you cannot register at the counter.

• registration: this can be done by post, e-mail or via the e-consul website
• declaration of birth, marriage, etc.: by post or e-mail
• change of address: by post or e-mail
